My childhood

hotfudgesundae:

This afternoon after lunch, I walked around Popular with Dila and tried searching for books we used to read during our childhood days. We found Ladybird Books Series, the This-Is-Peter-This-Is-Jane series, Enid Blyton (god, this was SO popular back in the 90’s) and Roald Dahl. I wanted to purchase a few books from each series because I loved the illustrations when I was a kid and I think I still love it now.

But the book that I want to buy and reread again the most is The Folk of the Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. I love it so much that once when I was 15, my language teacher asked the class to draw their dream house and everyone drew their house either by the beach or on top of a cliff but I was the only one who wanted a tree house with Silky, Moon-Face and the Saucepan Man as my neighbours.

Ahh, my childhood. I need to find this book again.

Enid Blyton! I used to think I was the only one reading her Famous Five from the library. Actually I thought, it was a special nook in the library that only I knew of. <3 (I loved her before Narnia.)
